Anatole’s sweaters strut their stuff at Le Pigalle

Graphic artist and musician Anatole Royer launched his Pavane (“strut” in French) sweatshirt collection two years ago. Printed with cool Parisian designs, a new “Made in France” model is released every two or three weeks, in a limited edition of just fifty. Music mad Anatole is also a member of Tournedisque, a collective that pools its musical must-hears online and on the decks. A big fan of the Pigalle neighbourhood, he loves hanging out in its record shops, bars and concert halls, including La Cigale, where he recently saw Rone, his musician-of-the-moment. One thing led to another – or rather, one apértif or party to another – and Anatole became a regular at Le Pigalle, where he photographed his collection and played a DJ set. Naturally, when we decided to work together, we thought of a limited edition sweatshirt for the Le Pigalle team. “I printed a graphic, streamlined logo on this model, with the same sexy, neon spirit as the neighbourhood,” says Anatole with a smile.
